Christian and I worked Thanksgiving. His hospital was busier during the day than mine. I got busy before I left. We both compared notes and we had two 4 year old pts who suffered burns from spilled soups. One family put mustard on it the other put toothpaste on it. Both of us ate and ate. Everyone brought so much food. I think we each packed 5lbs today.

Tomorrow we are spending Thanksgiving with his family.

This year my sister and i decided to sleep in. No more staying in line at 4 am. Not worth our money. I don't know what I'm going to get everyone for Christmas. I was driving back from work and I had the radio on the Christian station and I realized they started to play Christmas songs after all it was 12:02 am. Thanksgiving is long gone by now.

Thanksgiving week already???

I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving in less than three days. That also means November is coming to an end. Christmas is just around the corner.

For us Southern Californians we are so blessed with our weather. Yes it's finally cold here but no trace of snow unless you want to drive about 5 hours to Mammoth and even there i don't think there's any.

This week is very emotional for both Christian and I. He has his big final on Wednesday. He has a presentation tomorrow at 8:30am. Along with school worries we've had some sad news from Romania. My aunt has cancer. She's the closest thing to a mother that i had when my parents were away. When my mom told me the news i didn't know how to take it. I'm a nurse i see sick people every day but when it's family and it's so far away it affects you differently.

I came to the realization that i hate (hate is a strong word) a few things and they are: cancer in all forms and sizes, stroke and Alzheimer.

Both my soon to be hubby and i are looking forward to having three days off. A weekend to run errands and be with each other. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving dinner at my house, Friday is Thanksgiving dinner at this house and for Thanksgiving we are both going to work and help others in need.
